Zamioculcas
The Zamioculcas (or ZZ plant) is a very popular houseplant due to it being incredibly difficult to kill! It thrives in low light and doesnt need too much water to survive. They have a unique root ball system that retains water - so quite like a cactus - too much water is the only danger with the ZZ plant.
The Zamioculcas is very good at removing toxins from the air - a perfect way to purify the air in your home natrually.

Native to East Africa.
Size:
Reaches up to 39 inches (100cm) in height within 4 to 6 years.
Flowering:
White and Green Spathes which conceal white to cream flowers very similar to that of the peace lily. Many growers prefer to trim off the flowers of this plant as flowering diverts the plants energy from it’s desirable foliage.
Lifespan
With the right care this plant can live up to 20 years.
Toxicity
This plant is poisonous to humans and pets if ingested.
Care Guide:
Light: Zamioculcas are renowned for being able to grow even in the darkest of rooms. Bright light wont hurt it but it prefers shady areas.
They will also thrive under artificial and grow lights (if they are placed minimum 60 inches above it.)
Water: Water sparingly as if you were watering a cactus. You will know if it’s had too much water as the leaves will turn yellow. Once every two weeks is ideal.
As a rule of thumb water 20ml per 10cm of pot for this plant.
This plant will handle British unfiltered tap water.
Humidity: This plant does best in moderate humidity 50% - 60% RH is ideal. Regular misting in dryer locations really benefits the plant.
Temperature: This plant prefers moderate heat. 18c - 24c is ideal. Do not place the plant in near open windows in the Winter or autumn.
