Anthurium
The White Anthurium is a rare coluration of the “Flamingo” flower. The plant is easy to care for and flowers come back each year if the plant is cared for well. Anthuriums are epiphytic, meaning they grows on other trees. The leaves are lush, green and glossy. A few species are grown purely for their attractive foliage, boldly veined with silver.

Native to Colombia and Ecuador .
Size:
Reaches up to 20 inches (50cm) in height within 4 to 6 years.
Flowering:
White flowers which conceal white to cream flowers very similar to that of the peace lily. Many growers prefer to trim off the flowers of this plant as flowering diverts the plants energy from it’s desirable foliage. It is good practice to trim off spent flowers so the plant redirects its energy to the other blossoms.
Lifespan
With the right care this plant can live up to 10 years.
Toxicity
This plant is poisonous to humans and pets if ingested.
Care Guide:
Light: Anthurium prefer bright yet indirect light. Do not leave this plant on a sunny windowsill in the summer months. It will do best in a North or West facing window.
They will also thrive under artificial and grow lights (if they are placed minimum 90 inches above it.)
Water: Water when the plant is dry, and it does prefer to dry out.
As a rule of thumb water 40ml per 10cm of pot for this plant.
This plant will handle British unfiltered tap water.
Humidity: This plant does best in high humidity 60% - 70% RH is ideal. Regular misting in dryer locations really benefits the plant.
Temperature: This plant prefers moderate heat. 15c - 24c is ideal. Do not place the plant in near open windows in the Winter or autumn.
