Calathea Crocata
This plant is not only sought after for its rich, moody foliage but vibrant orange flowering bracts. This is a relatively compact plant, making it the perfect plant to add a pop of colour but not take over a room.
Its elliptic, ridged foliage features a deep green top and rich crimson-purple underside, typical of the Calathea family. These plants fold their leaves at night and unfold them during the day, earning them the nickname "prayer plants."
Calatheas are also somewhat particular, so they're better suited for the more attentive plant owner. Calathea Crocata is also known as an air purifying plant.

Care Guide:
Light: “The Eternal Flame” are great plants for areas where light is limited, making them very popular in basement flats, and north-facing properties.
They will also thrive under artificial and grow lights (if they are placed minimum 60 inches above it) making it great for office spaces. Any direct light will bleach the flowers and leaves.
Water: Agloas like a good drink and you should water thoroughly each time. Only water however when the top inch or two of the soil is dry to the touch.
This plant will handle British unfiltered tap water.
Humidity: This plant does best in high humidity 60% - 70% RH is ideal. Great for kitchens or bathrooms with enough light. Weekly misting in less humid areas benefits the plant.
Temperature: 18c - 23c is ideal. The plant can tolerate temperatures as low as 10c but avoid placing it near any cold draughts.
